Post Super Bowl Feelings

It has been just a few hours since the Colts lost yet another post season game. but this one doesn't hurt as much as i thought. why you ask? Well, for the past 2 weeks and even the past month i have been readying myself for the possibility. Inside I expected it to happen. Ive seen it happen for the past 10 years or so. Me and my friends have a running joke come every postseason that the Colts are the paper champs. They are always suppose to win. We have Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Dwight Freeney, etc. Every game we play, we have the most talent on the field. but talent doesn't equal success. if anything the Colts have proved this time and time again. It was suppose to be different this year. Peyton was doing amazing things. taking complete control of the game. our defense was playing big, making every stop when needed. we finally had a complete team and couldnt be stopped. but my head and heart knew otherwise. and the reason im not shook up over this loss probably stems from when we won it last in 2006. even when we won it i was happy for a few weeks, but then had to deal with the pacers limping into the playoffs and sucking. but thats the way it is and the one thing ive learned about sports is that you got to enjoy them, their fun to watch but once that moments over you have to move on and look forward. because win or lose, with tomorrow comes new ups and downs. its the ride thats enjoyable and the colts never dissapoint during the ride... its the destination thats unflattering.
